Our Placemaking Conference is on June 15th and we thought we’d give you the inside scoop on who will be speaking.
First up is Marc Wouters, Chair of the Congress for New Urbanism’s NYS Chapter. He will be discussing Creative Tools to Support New York’s Small Downtowns. Our second keynote speaker is June Williamson, one of our keynote speaker, professor at City College of New York, and co-author of Retrofitting Suburbia. Our last keynote speaker is Eric Alexander of Vision Long Island. He will be discussing Long Island case studies and ways to fund your placemaking efforts. We have a great panel put together as well!
Our panel will be discussing downtown redevelopment from the community’s perspective. On the panel we have Brenna Robinson of the City of Kingston, Cooper Boone of Foundry 42, Valerie Maginsky of the City of Port Jervis, Bob Pritchard of the Village of Maybrook; it will be moderated by Lou Marquet.
